We celebrate our first anniversary!

Celebrating AMPYR Distributed Energy 1st Anniversary

One year on since the launch of AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE) and there is much to celebrate. The past 12 months has exceeded expectations in a number of ways, from the quality of partnerships formed and growing demand for distributed energy among UK businesses, to the rapidly-evolving policy landscape and expansion of our team to harness the opportunities that we are seeing in the market.

Key to our success has been the power of collaboration, combined with the expertise of our team. We have already onboarded 20+ channel partners, bringing exciting projects to the table that we have been able to support through our market-leading funding model. Our partners have particularly appreciated our speed of decision-making and flexibility to meet customer needs. In fact, we have already contracted around £30m of capital into on site renewable energy projects.

What’s more, with many sites currently under construction in sectors ranging from manufacturing to retail and leisure, we’ve already hit 2025 with a bang. By combining global scale with local expertise, we’re succeeding in our mission to simplify net zero for businesses keen to unlock the potential of onsite renewable energy generation. Our PPA funding has already supported the installation of more than 40,000 solar panels, helping businesses to significantly reduce their energy costs and improve their energy resilience.

We have also brought in additional talent, growing our team to 14 specialist professionals. With more growth planned in 2025, we are looking forward to helping more and more businesses to accelerate their decarbonisation journeys.

With the Government increasing its focus on decarbonisation with a raft of policy announcements designed to fast-track change, distributed energy has a key role to play. It can be rapidly deployed and scaled, helping organisations to harness the benefits of clean energy quickly.

One major trend that we expect to see burgeon in 2025 is rapidly growing demand for battery storage. Offering huge potential to commercial customers, and funded through our innovative PPA model, the technology can deliver impressive financial and environmental benefits. As such, we’re looking forward to increasing the number of batteries specified within our projects over the next 12 months.

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited by the opportunity to enable change – not just in the UK, but also in Europe.
